This centerpiece green depression bowl was very popular in the 1920's. Bowl measures 11 inch diameter by 3 inches high. It is made with a flared rolled down rim.
Consoles were very popular for the dining table. Consoles usually had matching candlesticks and were also called garniture sets.
The vogue of the time was to put a flower frog in the middle to create a floral centerpiece flanked by candlesticks on each side for the dining table or buffet.
This particular console is also a Reversible Bowl which was very versatile for decorating and serving fruits, crackers, cookies, etc. for the 1920's hostess.
The console/fruit/flower bowl is in very good condition for its age with only one tiny flake in the bottom of bowl. There are no chips or nicks.
It has a pretty, etched sunflower and leaves design. Very elegant and a nice touch to a depression glass collection.
