Door Knob Hats Door Knob Hats are a clever way to fix a problem with a door that is too close to a piece of furniture and hits it when it is opened. Or even when the door knob knocks against the wall. This cute little hat solves the problem and they look pretty and add a cosy, homey touch.

They are made of a hand crocheted doily that has a ribbon woven through it. The center is filled with fiber fill. You would place it around the door knob, positioning the fiber fill over the front of door knob, then draw the ribbon tight so that it fits behind the doorknob close to the stem. Tie into a perky bow, fan out the edges of doily and viola! a cute accessory that solves an aggravating problem.

And they are simple to launder, too. Remove the fiber fill before laundering. Hand washing is recommended. Spread doily out to dry on a flat surface and allow to air dry. You can spray with a spray starch to help it retain its shape if you like.

You can choose from Dark Green Crochet, White Crochet or a solid heavy Cotton Burgundy. Ribbons will vary, but you can easily change that to suit your decor.
