I happened upon an on-line review for this book and was intrigued, however when I went to buy it was dissapointed to find that it was out of print. (Author’s Note: No, this book is NOT out of print.) I can't know why, this book was very good. THANK GOD my local library had a copy. Granted they only had one. I plan to write the publisher to see if I can get a copy of my own. I also plan to find out what else Smith-Brown has written. Take the time to read this one. The story of Tilda and James will touch your heart.

I read this one after reading Plantation. The two books I have read so far by this author; Plantation and Unforgettable were both very good. I am surprised to find that this author is so unknown. If you can find a copy, I would recommend reading them, as I said they were very good.

Review of BRASADA by Don Johnson: From these roots comes Brasada by Don Johnson, a western novel that is interwoven with some fascinating Civil War History - in particular, how the South financed the War by smuggling its cotton into Mexico and getting paid in gold.
This is a real page-turner that has everything a fan of Westerns and Civil War Novels could ask for, and then some. Just a great introduction to the Western genre for new readers. I strongly recommend it for anyone who likes to read good fiction.
