This Avon Exclusive Winter Velvet Barbie was created in 1995 and is Mattel #15571. She is the first in the series of these Special Edition dolls. The box she is in is a little 'curved' in places (see photo) This is due to the fact that Avon issued these Barbies in a box with a slim cardboard top and bottom but no plastic sleeve or window. The owner of this doll did wrap the opening of the box in cellophane to keep off dust. Barbie is dressed in a wonderful satin look white dress with a festival royal blue print design, a blue velvet bodice and a matching solid blue scarf. She has her necklace and long dangling earrings and a blue ribbon in her very long, wavey, platinum hair. She also includes her doll stand and paperwork. |
