This book was written and photographed by R. Tucker Abbott, "one of the world's leading malacologists...". Every page has beautiful colored photographs of seashells. "This edition first published by Dragon's World Ltd in the United States 1993" It is a hard cover with a beautiful full color dust jacket which was printed in Italy.
There is a dedication on the blank page which says, "To My Favorite Aunt - Christmas 1995. This was bought prior to Hurricane "Opal" which took our dear Beach House- What a Loss - So full of memories. I hope you can still enjoy it! Love Mary Ann
Other than the handwritten dedication there are no marks, tears or folded pages. This is a beautiful book.
When doing research the same book with a different photo on the dust jacket indicated that there was another "1st Longmeadow Press edition, Smithmark Publishing, 1991, ISBN 0831763841.
