This clear glass insulator measures about 4 inches high and 3.5 inches bottom diameter. The front is marked Whitall Tatum No 1. The back is marked Made in U.S.A. and 31-43 with an A in a circle. Smooth base. The glass is somewhat cloudy and worn but no chips. No bubbles. Average condition. Insulators originally used for telegraph, power, and telephone poles, also work great as paperweights or bookends, or as decorative window planters when hung upside down in small macrame or shell hangers.
